    Hi,

I notice that the standard home page is primarily pictures linking to other pages (other than the blog text). Is there any way of inserting html snippets into the page as I’d like to have a little more text on there.

    Thanks!
    Neil

    Hi Neil,

    Thank You for choosing us!

You can use the Insert Html Snippet Plugin.

Here is the link https://wordpress.org/plugins/insert-html-snippet/ to download it.

Read the documentation properly before using the plugin.

    Thank You.

    Hi,

Yes I have that already – and i have created 2 snippets and added them to a custom page, but when I go to Edit Page for the home page, the box where I can add a snippet is empty, and so I have no control over where in the page the snippet displays. Currently they are both displayed between the menu and the slider. How can I choose where the snippet(s) go?

    Thanks,
    Neil

    Hi,

I can’t see anything there to show how to add them other than using the short codes…. anyway I’m wondering whether you can tell me more about the child theme hooks. Your documentation doesn’t really say how to use them – I can see the php tags but where do I add them and how would I define what would go below the slider for example?

Thanks again for your help ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Neil,

The snippet will displays there only, You cannot control it.

The custom theme editor is the easy process for editing the site, if you have to add a section in the site, you can easily edit in child theme it can be changed in the parent theme.

They are used to add or organize the sections.

Could you please elaborate on what you want to add so that we could give the solution.

    Thank You
