How to add an Excerpt of a post on the front page instead of it showing up in Full text. On the freebie Multipurpose Blog theme, the posts automatically show an Excerpt. I liked the theme a lot so purchased the Multipurpose Blog Pro. I set the WordPress Dash > Reading > feed from Full text to Excerpt, but that didn’t work. My posts are usually long so I don’t want long posts taking up space on the front page. The theme is more advanced that what I have used in the past, but I like it except for this one issue…am no expert, but can copy and paste code. ๐Ÿ˜‰

MY BAD!! Just remembered the “more” tag – <!–more–> ๐Ÿ˜‰ OK…that solved the problem. Great Theme! One more thing…there is no edit button on my posts for editing, and I have to go to WordPress Dash Admin to edit posts. That’s OK, but is there an edit button setting I am missing. Advanced theme for me, so will take time…
