    Hi,

The blogs page I have listing the most recent blogs either seems to display the whole blog, or a fixed length summary which I would like to be longer. It seemed to default to the brief summary, and I managed to change it to show the complete blog text (can’t remember how now), but now I notice in Settings–>Reading that although the ‘For Each Article in a Feed, Show’ is set to ‘Summary’, my page still shows the complete text still.

I’m wondering 1) why it still shows the complete text, and 2) whether there’s any way to control how much summary is displayed

    Many thanks,
    Neil

    Hi Neil,

As per your request, we have seen your blog and it’s not coming from our theme.

We are unable to tell you about that.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I was pretty sure it was – sorry (not sure how that was created then), so I have just added a new page, added the title ‘Blogs’ changed the template to ‘Blog With Right Sidebar’, and saved. This is the resulting page:

    https://encounter.uk.com/blog/

It does now show just a summary as expected, but I guess my other question still remains – is there a way of controlling how much of the blog text is shown in the summary?

    Thanks again,
    Neil
